For the first time in 3 years, Apple's iPhone failed to win the title of 'Phoneof the Year' in quite prestigious awards in the UK. That title was droppedon the Samsung Galaxy S II, in the election held by leading technology magazine, Stuff Magazine.
Two years earlier, this title is always falling on the iPhone. Now, as quotedfrom dailymail, Friday (11/04/2011), iPhone 4S judged less by the GalaxyS II. Indeed Galaxy S II has a number of excellent features and has so farclaimed to have sold 10 million units.
Stuff also signed up several high-praised smartphones or 'Highlycommended'. That goes in it is the HTC Sensation, Blackberry Bold 9900,Google Nexus S and Nokia E6.
"Stuff Awards this year is proof that the world of gadgets is moreinnovative and exciting than ever before. The gap between winners andrunners up really thin," said Will Findlater, editor of Stuff Magazine.
However, in the category of tablet computers, Apple debuted. iPad 2 has been named as the 'Tablet of The Year', beating the Galaxy Tab.
Samsung and Apple are competing fiercely. In the arena of smartphones,Samsung has just beat Apple as the largest smart phone vendor.
