Apple has introduced their new music service called iCloud. Rumors werepassed, would carry around such iCloud direction?
Some observers argue that Apple's cloud-based services are going toreplace the function of iTunes, because the synchronization done anywhereand does not need to be connected with one device only.
"Do not think about iCloud as the new MobileMe, as they may be iCloud as the new iTunes," said analyst John Gruber of Darin Firebal, as reported byApple Insider, Monday (06/06/2011).
Gruber admitted that he knew only "a few minor features" of special eventsdeveloper who plans to discuss iOS 5 and iCloud.
However, Gruber speculated that iCloud will replace iTunes as the "central shop for almost all data" stored in the iPhone, iPod and iPad, transferringinformation to the cloud.
These services will, however, affect the MobileMe as well, such as iTunesand MobileMe overlap in the types of data they store online. For example,the current iTunes sync "audio, movies and TV shows, iBooks e-books,App Store apps, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, notes, and all kinds offiles are shared between IOS applications."
While presenting the concept of the sale including MobileMe cloud-based synchronization of bookmarks, contacts, calendar and files. Thus, if the iCloud service is to mirror backups iTunes for IOS device, MobileMe would certainly not desirable
