A U.S. citizen was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison in Thailand since proven guilty upload a site link which prohibits photographs of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
In the trial, Joe Gordon, was a car salesman from Colorado who was bornin Thailand, accused of insulting the king.
Initially, he was sentenced to prison for five years, but the judge cut his prison time because the defense of Gordon.
The U.S. expressed concern because it uses the rule of law of contemptagainst the king.
U.S. officials again insisted that the authority of Thailand guarantees freedom of expression and said the decision to punish Gordon is very disappointing.
