Best-selling entertainment products are usually the output of Hollywood movies, but now a video game called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was recorded as the best-selling entertainment products so far.
Sales of game Call of Duty series reaches billions of dollars over the 16 days since its launch on 8 November, the BBC's technology correspondent Mark Gregory.
Latest Call of Duty series has exceeded the Harry Potter films as the best-selling entertainment product in history.
Final Harry Potter movie took 17 days to reach sales of billions of dollars,as well as the film Avatar, a film with three-dimensional format that describes a planet with a blue-skinned alien residents.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has attracted more than 30 million users, sixmillion of them registered as a player online.
Lately video game products are often able to generate greater profits than the movie.
"Prescription for grossing films and best-selling games are often the same -big budget, lots of special effects, and advanced the story is endless," explains Mark Gregory.
Certainly there are fundamental differences between games and movies.
Games are interactive, participatory, and players can change the storyline.
