Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, said it would not run again if theItalians do early elections.

It was emphasized a day after being promised to resign following the decision of parliament passed budget reform.

"I will resign once the Act was passed and because I believe there is nopossibility of a majority of the others, I think the general elections held earlyFebruary and I would not run at the time," said Berlusconi.

But Berlusconi's desire to hold a general election is not fully supported byopposition parties who expect the formation of a national government that involves them.

Italian upper house of parliament, or Senate-reform package is expected to approve the budget at the end of this month to revive the Italian economyis hit by the economic crisis participated in the countries using the euro currency.

Once legislation is passed, then the President of Italy will conductconsultations with political parties to discuss the next steps.

For Berlusconi, up and down the Italian political scene is commonplace.Currently he is even being entangled number of legal issues andallegations of a sex scandal.

And voting for the budget in the lower house on Tuesday (08/11) is morean indication but not a determinant of his political career.

"By the opposition was indeed referred tosee you this is no longer in the community poluler Italyso you should back off. But it seems to Berlusoniwas not something he's not really pay attention," said Krishna Hannan,Political Affairs Officer at the Italian Embassy in Rome .

Also apparently still solid Berlusconi coalition in the Senate although in the lower house did not seem to give total support to Berlusconi.

"Berlusconi's coalition in the House of Commons does seem to have lostthe majoritybut according to the Italian constitutionreferedunm and votingto go through two roomsthe House of Commons and SenateBut thecoalition in the Senate is still quite strong," added Hannan.

Hannan also said so far it seems less likely to hold early elections.

"We never talk with the opposition in Italyaccording to the opposition to carry out an early election is urgent, but costs are high and will furtherburden the people of Italy, so that small kemungkinanya."

In such situationsSilvio Berlusconi talks on a replacement has notsurfaced in the Italian society.

Today, Wednesday, November 9a European Union team will arrive in Rome Italy to monitor the plan in reducing the burden of mounting debts, which reached about U.S. $ 2.6 trillion.

EU Economy CommissionerOlli Rehnsaid he would report the results ofhis visit in November and currently kahir added, the situation in Italy is veryworrying.

Meanwhile, financial markets rose after hearing Mr Berlusconi wouldresign if held early elections.

Stock in Italy went up 1.38% once openedwhile the FTSEurofirst 300index rose 0.9%.

However news of the resignation of Berlusconi's plan was not greeted with much fanfare by the Italian society.

BBC correspondent in Rome, Gavin Hewitt, reported a lot of Italians who still doubt whether their flamboyant leaderwho has dominated Italianpolitics for 20 years-it will soon retreat.

And it seemed reasonable doubt, since the political consultations that willbe the president clearly overshadowed a sharp distinction betweenBerlusconi and the opposition camp.
